A man is in jail after an hour-long stand-off with police.

El Centro police officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of East Orange Avenue at about 1:30 Monday afternoon after a report of a man making threats and apparently armed with a handgun. The man retreated to a trailer parked in the alley and stayed there until police approached the trailer in an armored vehicle. The suspect, a 26-year-old El Centro man, was taken into custody and booked at Imperial County Jail on charges of Making Criminal Threats. A BB gun was located in the trailer.
