(A week to honor Police Officer past, and  present)...National Police Week runs from Sunday until May 20th.

Today is also Peace Officers Memorial Day. It was first designated in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy. In the Imperial Valley, since 1920, 44 local law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty. The Imperial Valley Law Enforcement Memorial event was held earlier this month.
