(IID Board adopts two resolutions)....Both were adopted at the Board meeting this week.

One of the resolutions recognizes Engineers Week. The Imperial Irrigation District has 162 Engineers in the water and energy department. The IID is the third largest public power provider in California and the largest irrigation district in the nation. Also this week the Board of Directors adopted a resolution in observance of National Lineman Appreciation Day, which will be on April 18th. They said the special day gives the District an opportunity to express the district's utmost appreciation to the IID linemen, power troubleshooters and all other line construction employees for their dedication to the trade and service to IID customers. IID employs over 90 linemen and power troubleshooters, who are on-call 24 hours per day, 365 days a year to keep the lights on for more than 160,000 customer accounts in the Imperial and Coachella Valleys.
