An early morning earthquake rattled the Imperial Valley Monday.

The magnitude 3.4 earthquake was recorded at 2:10 a.m. According to the U. S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was about 17 miles north north east of Ocotillo. There have been no reports of injury or damage.
