The King and Queen of the El Centro Mardi Gras celebration have been named.

The City of El Centro has announced that the 2023 El Centro Mardi Gras King and Queen are Charles "Chuck" and Carol Fisher. King Chuck is a life-long resident of El Centro and spent his professional career as a teacher, principal and school board trustee. He has served for many years as the President of CASA and volunteer with many other organizations. Queen Carol spent 35 years in various roles in education and serves on the board of Friends of El Centro Community Services Foundation. 

The Mardi Gras festivities begin February 16, 2023, with a Coronation at El Centro City Hall. The Mardi Gras Parade and Street Festival will happen on February18, 2023 from 5 - 9 PM.
