El Centro Police were notified of an injured coyote Friday morning.

The coyote was apparently struck by a car in the area of Dogwood and Ross and then taken by a concerned citizen to their residence. The coyote was then taken to a local veterinarian where it was euthanized because of the extensive injuries incurred when it was struck by the vehicle.
