U. S. Border Patrol agents seized 250 pounds of fentanyl pills early Tuesday morning.
Agents made a traffic stop on Interstate 8 near Pine Valley and found the drugs. A Border Patrol K-9 team alerted to the vehicle and an inspection led to the discovery of 57 packages that tested positive for fentanyl. The total weight of the pills was 250 pounds with an estimated street value of over $3.4 million.
