A man was arrested after he was spotted walking with a gun in downtown El Centro.

At about 3:00 p.m. Saturday it was reported to El Centro Police that there was a man carrying a rifle walking in the area of 6th and Main Streets. A short time later the man was located in the alley of the 400 block of Main Street. The 53-year-old man was detained and the arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
