The State of California is awarding millions of dollars in grants to local schools.

The grant program is part of the K-16 Education Collaboratives Grant Program to strengthen the K-16 education-to-career pipeline. The Imperial County Office of Education is included in the Border Region Inclusive Talent Pipeline Collaborative that also includes San Diego State University, UC San Diego, California State University San Marcos. The program selected for the grant funding is committed to improving the K-16 education system in the Border Region. Approximately $18 million is included in the Border Region grant.
