The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the latest numbers, active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County continue to decrease. There are currently 884 active cases of the virus in the county, down from 983 cases reported last Thursday. As of late July there were 61.30 new cases per day per 100,000 population, with a positivity rate of 42.1%. Those metrics are released by the state Health Department, and lag behind the current numbers on the virus. Deaths attributed to COVID 19 remain the same, at 946.
