(Imperial Valley College will have a measure on the November Ballot)....It is a bond measure.
The OVC Board of Trustees agreed to place the measure on the ballot. Voters will be asked to approve the $130 million Bond Measure. The funds would be used to develop a fire, police, health, and emergency responder training center, prepare facilities for lithium training programs and other campus improvements. The measure will also fund upgrades to science, technology, engineering and math labs, as well as rep and updates to other classroom buildings. Board President Karla Sigmond said if approved by voters, the bond would provide a source of local funding that can only be used by IVC and cannot be taken by the state and spent elsewhere. The measure will be on the November 8th ballot.
