U.S. Border Patrol agents made two significant methamphetamine seizures this week.
On Monday afternoon Border patrol agents stopped a car on Interstate 8 near Campo. A K-9 team alerted to the vehicle and over 18 pounds of meth was found hidden in the undercarriage of the car. The meth has a value estimated at $42,000. The driver, a U.S. citizen, was arrested. On Tuesday morning Border Patrol agents stopped a car on Interstate 10 near Dillon Road. A K-9 team alerted to the car and more than 84 pounds of methamphetamine was discovered concealed in the vehicle. The meth has a value estimated at over $151,000. The driver of the car and a woman passenger are both facing federal charges.
