(11 Individuals rescued over the weekend).....It happened early Saturday morning.

El Centro Border Patrol was advised of a 911 call at 12:20 in the morning. The individual said he and 10 others were lost and needed assistance. Agents in the field were given the coordinates provided, and about an hour later, the group was located. They were found in the Jacumba Wilderness Region about a mile north of the US/Mexico Border. It was determined all 11 were Nicaraguan Nationals and all had entered the US illegally. They were found to be safe and none were in need of medical attention. They were all taken to El Centro for processing. Since October, El Centro Border Patrol agents have successfully rescued 264 individuals who were lost, in distress or abandoned by smugglers.
