U. S. Border Patrol agents stopped a pick up truck with over 250 pounds of fentanyl pills.
At about 3:00 a.m. Monday, the pick up truck ws stopped on eastbound Interstate 8 near the Golden Acorn Casino. A Border Patrol K-9 team alerted to the truck and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of multiple bundles hidden in the spare tire and gas tank of the truck. The bundles contained a total of approximately 250 pounds of fentanyl pills with an estimated street value of $3,679,000. The driver of the pick up truck, a U.S. citizen, was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
