Four Cuban nationals were rescued by U.S. Border Patrol agents Sunday morning.
The four, 3 men and 1 woman, ranging in age from 25 to 49 years old, crossed the border illegally in the mountainous area of the Jacob Wilderness. The group activated a rescue beacon about a mile and a half north of the border. Rescue beacons in the area provide migrants the ability to call for medical and rescue assistance with the automatic locator. The four were medically evaluated and then processed according to Border Patrol protocols.
