The Yuma Fire department has received a donation of a "Fide Bag" and two additional oxygen masks.

A Fido Bag is equipped with special tools to allow firefighters to more effectively treat pets. The bags contain special oxygen masks, leashes and other gear not normally carried by fire personnel. Yuma Fire has been utilizing Fido Bags since 2014 and have used the life saving equipment in animal rescues, most often with pets overcome by smoke. Masks designed for humans are not as effective when used on animals. The Fido Bag was donated by The Fetch Foundation of Scottsdale ho have a vision of putting Fido Bags on every fire engine in the country.
