(Single Vehicle collision)....It happened West of Campo.

The California Highway Patrol says the incident happened over the weekend. Two motorcycles were traveling east on Highway 94, near the US/Mexico Border. One of the motorcycle, ridden by 28 year old Sharly Thao of San Marcos, was unable to navigate a curve on the roadway. The motorcycle swerved off the road, hit the south curb and then struck two traffic signs and an embankment. The impact threw Thao from the motorcycle. The injured rider died before he could be transported to a hospital. The incident is being investigated. The CHP says they do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident
