(Border Patrol rescues an injured individual)...It happened earlier this week.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol had received an early morning call from a woman. She told the Border Patrol her spouse was lost in the Jacumba Wilderness Region, and he was injured. She gave the agents the approximate coordinates. After searching for about two hours, agents discovered the individual about four and a half miles north of the international border fence. A wellness check determine the individual needed medical attention due to an injury to his leg. Emergency Medical Technicians were called. The individual was transported to a hospital. It had also been determined the individual had entered the US illegally. After being released from the hospital, Border Patrol agents took the individual into custody. The 51 year old man was processed for deportation.
