A new manufacturing facility to be built in Brawley means jobs for the Imperial Valley.
Ground will be broken on Friday, June 17, 2022, for a 105,000-square-foot facility that will build steel modular housing. IndieDwell, a Boise, Idaho, based company will invest more than $2 million manufacturing plant that will employ as many as 200 people when fully operational in 2023. IndieDwell currently has a manufacturing facility in Pueblo, Colorado and one under construction in Newport News, Virginia. The steel modular housing constructed will help alleviate the affordable housing deficit in California and across the country.
The ground breaking will take place at 8:00 a.m. at 4639 N. 8th Street in Brawley. Officials from the City of Brawley, Imperial County, as well as representatives of the organizations that partnered to develop the facility. The facility will be constructed by KPRS Construction with project management by Decro Corporation.
