El Centro Police are investigating a burglary that resulted in the theft of numerous handguns.

On Tuesday, police responded to a report of a break-in at a shop in the 500 block of Broadway. It was determined that the burglary occurred sometime over the weekend and was discovered when the shop reopened on Tuesday morning. The back door of the business had been pried open. Numerous handguns were taken. Police are reviewing video surveillance from a neighboring business as the investigation continues. Police are asking that anyone who might have any information contact the El Centro Police Department.
