A man is in custody after smashing windows in 16 vehicles.

According to the El Centro Police Department, at about 10:18 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 1900 block of North Imperial Avenue after receiving reports of a man breaking windows in vehicles parked in the area. Officers located a man matching the description of the suspect. The man, 30-year-old Jaime Manzo, a transient from San Pedro, California, was carrying a baseball bat when contacted by officers. He was arrested without incident and booked at Imperial County Jail on felony vandalism charges.
