(Active COVID Cases continbue to increase)...The latest updat on COVID 19 was released Thursday morning.

The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the new numbers, there are now 207 active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County. That is up from the 201 cases reported on Tuesdasy. Deaths attributed to the virus have also increased. They are now at 917, up from 914 reported on Tuesday. The latest State COVID 19 Tier Metrics for Imperial County indicate the new cases per day per 100,000 population are at 8.40. The positivity rate, 7 day average is at 12.5%, as of May 8th.
