It was live streamed on Facebook. Capotain William A. Perkins served as Commanding Officer of the Navy Base since March 2020. After 28 years, the Captain decided to call it a career, and submitted his retirement. Named to replace Captain Perkins was Captain Michael D. Lee. Captain Lee is no stranger to NAFEC. A few years ago Captain Lee served with a Helicopter Detachment at the Naval Air Facility.. He took Command of the Base at the ceremony. The special guest at the Change of Command Ceremony was Rear Admiral Stephen Barnett, Commander of Navy Region Southwest.
