(COVID 19 update for Imperial County)....Updated numbers were released Tuesday morning.

The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the new numbers, active cases of COVID 19 have risen to 64, as compared to 34 cases reported last week. Deaths attributed to the virus remains at 908. The variants of concern in Imperial County are the Delta and Omicron variants. According to the latest numbers, there have been 1,027 cases of the Omiron variant reported in Imperial County since 202. There have been 1,212 cases of the Delta variant reported locally since 2020. The Health Department says the variants are mostly affecting the unvaccinated, between the ages of 18 and 49.
