Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District is warning people about a potential new COVID-19 scam.

The Brawley hospital sys that there have been two instances of pre-surgery patients being notified by phone or text that they had tested positive for the coronavirus, when, in fact, their tests were negative. PMHD CEO Larry Lewis said, " Patients who receive notice that their pre-surgery COVID-19 test is positive when they already have been notified it was negative should contact the hospital to verify the results".
