(Border Patrol arrests three)...They were all US citizens.

The suspects had driven up to the Highway 86 checkpoint Thursday. An SUV entered the checkpoint early Thursday morning. A Border Patrol K-9 Detection Team alerted to the vehicle and it was sent to the secondary inspection area. Agents discovered a plastic bag containing a small amount of marijuana inside a backpack. They found a small amount of methamphetamine on one of the vehicle occupants. A records check determined the SUV had been stolen out of Palm Springs. All three of the occupants were turned over to the California Highway Patrol
