El Centro Police are investigating the theft of copper from an air conditioner.

The incident was reported Wednesday. An estimated $8,000 loss was sustained when thieves tore apart the air conditioner that was located on the roof of the building. Another citizen reported that their pickup truck was damaged when someone tried to remove the catalytic converter.
