The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the new numbers, there has been another big drop in the number of active COVID 19 cases in Imperial County. There are currently 119 active cases of COVID 19 in the County, down from the 139 active cases reported on Tuesday. El Centro Regional Medical Center said Wednesday, for the first time in a long time, there were zero COVID positive patients admitted to the hospital this past Tuesday. As of Wednesday, there were 4 COVID Positive patients Hospitalized at ECRMC. That is being attributed to the 93.8% vaccination rate in Imperial County. That is still the highest vaccination rate in the state.
