The number of active COVID-19 cases in Imperial County continues to drop.

The information released by the Imperial County Depart of Public Health on Tuesday shows 139 active cases. That's a drop from the 236 cases reported last Thursday. The number of deaths attributed to the coronavirus is 894. Imperial County has attained a nearly 94 percent vaccination rate. That is the highest in the state of California. The Health Department will no longer report on the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients.
