(IVC Spring Semester is underway)...It began February 14th.
There was an expected boost in enrollment of more than 17 percent over the COVID impacted Spring 2021 term. Many classes are still online, although the school says there are an increasing number of in-oerson classes. IVC's interim Superintendent/President Lennor Johnson says the IVC team has been working hard to overcomwe the enrollment drops that have impacted all of California's Community Colleges and many universities. Johnson says they have increased enrollment by 17.1% over the prior year. The original goal was a five percent increase. The headcount has increased by 390 students, or 5.7% over the prior year. Johnson attributes the increases to a fantastic team, hard work, great ideas and great energy. The numbers could increase once late enrollment is added.
