That is the highest percentage rate in the State of California. The information was released by the County Public Health Department Thursday morning. Officials attribute the high percentage rate to the downward trend of active COVID 19 cases in Imperial County. According to the new numbers, there are currently 236 active COVID cases in the county. That is down from 277 active cases reported two days ago. All the other COVID numbers remain the same. There are 25 COVID positive patients hospitalized in the county. 11 of them are in Intensive Care.
