(El Centro Police were called)...They were asked to perform a wellfare check Wednesday.

Employees at a hotel on Wake Avenue were concerned about a man locked in his room. When officers entered the room, they found the 48 year old man deceased. The County Coroners office was called. The man was identified only as being a Utah resident. An autopsy to determine the exact cause of death is pending. Officials said the death did not appear to be suspicious.
