(Border Patrol Agents arrest a previously deported gang member)..The agents detained a group of 16 Sunday evening.

The group was found in the Imperial Sand Dunes. It was determined the group had entered the United States illegally from Mexico. They were taken to El Centro for processing. A records check revealed one in the group was a documented member of the Sureno Street criminal gang. It was also found the individual had an extensive criminal and immigration history. There were several felony convictions and multiple re-entry arrests following deportation.
