(February is Black History Month)... Friday IVC will host a special family event.

It will be held on the lawn outside the Student Affairs Office at Imperial Valley College. It will begin at 3:30 in the afternoon. The celebration will feature free food, games, as well as the guest speaker Jamaal Brown. Brown is the founder of Black 365. His organization, made up of educators and authors, was formed 12 years ago to inspire youth and let them be aware of the contributions of Black Americans. He will give a talk entitled Black History Is World History. Brown is appearing at a number of Colleges and other organizations. The Theme for the IVC event will be Celebrating and Creating Black Legacy. The public is invited to attend the event.
