(COVID 19 updated)....The new numbers were released Wednesday morning.

The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the new number, active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County have declined to 584. The number of hospitalized COVID positive patients is now at 42. Nine of those are in Intensive Care. There are 18 ventilators in use in Imperial County. Since December 2021 there have been 239 cases of the Omicron Variant reported in Imperial County. There have been 1,182 cases of the Delta Variant reported locally since 2020. The total number of COVID vaccine doses administered in the county are now  over 413,000. The Health Department says the number of deaths attributed to COVID 19 are now at 861.
