(Grand Opening of Chelsea Development)...The new development is on West Adams Avenue in El Centro.

The two story, 56 unit affordable apartment community includes recreation amenities, a tot lot, Bocce Ball, and Barbecue area. 10 of the units are set aside specifically for residents with developmental disabilities. El Centro Mayor Tomas Oliva joined Chelsea Investment Corporation, Mayoir pro-tem Martha Cardenas-Singh and Councilmember Sylvia Marroquin for the Grand Opening. During the ceremony Mayor Oliva said one of the most basic human rights is a place to call home. He said over the past months the pandemic has exemplified the need for affordable options as the cost of housing in California continues to rise and becomes out of reach for many. The new development is located at 1725 West Adams Avenue in El Centro.
