Over $379,000 worth of illegal drugs were found in a local storage unit.
Last Friday night U.S. Border Patrol agents obtained a search warrant to open a storage unit suspected of storing drugs. Agents opened the unit and located two hollowed out vehicle batteries. One of the batteries contained 10.6 pounds of fentanyl valued at $318,000. The other battery was loaded with 4.5 pounds of cocaine with a value estimated at over $61,000. The drugs were turned over to the Border Crime Suppression Team. The investigation continues.
