(Fire reported at around mid-night)...It is a river bottom fire.

County Fire Chief Estrada said the fire is at Phillips Cattle and Wahl Road. The County responded and assistance was requested. Fire Departments from Brawley, El Centro, Holtville NAF and Centenela responded. The Chief said around 30 acres of brush has burned, but no structures damaged or threatened, Estrada said they will monitor the fire as it burns, probably for the rest of the day. San Diego Electric has been called in to assess the high power lines in the area.,
