The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has allocated money for a feasibility study of the Salton Sea.

$1.5 million has been set aside for the study to facilitate development of long-term solutions for public health and environmental impacts of the Salton Sea. The funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the 2022 Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act.
