(San Diego State University/Imperial Valley Campus)...They have announced the Spring Semester will begin virtually, temporarily.

For the first two weeks of the Spring Semester, January 19 through February 4, instruction will be virtual due in most case to the post holiday spike in Omicron variant infections. SDSU/IV interim CAO and Dean Mark Wheeler said their chief concern is to ensure the health and safety of their campus and the Imperial Valley. He said the precautionary period of virtual instruction is prudent based on the best available scientific evidence and the expert advice of the Imperial County Public Health Department. The regular in-person course schedule will resume as planned on February 7, with the safeguards already in place. The temporary start of instruction in the virtual space will allow the January COVID case spike to subside.
