(Border Patrol arrests two)...It happened late last week.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents were patrolling the Indio area. The agents encountered a suspicious 2005 Dodge Magnum. They conducted a vehicle stop on Interstate 10, near Jefferson Street. Agents interviewed the occupants and determined two of them did not have legal documents to be in the United States. All four occupants were taken to the Indio Station for further investigation. At the station, agents searched the inside of the vehicle. They found numerous blue pills in a sweater. The pills totaled 250 and were in two plastic bags. The pills tested positive for Fentanyl, with an estimated value of $6,250. Agents also found 4.22 grams of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, valued at around $169. The driver and one of the passengers were determined to be US citizens. The driver and the narcotics were turned over to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. The undocumented individuals were adult male Mexican Nationals. The Citizen passenger and the two undocumented individuals were processed accordingly. The vehicle was seized.
