Expect chances of rain with cooler weather this week.
The National Weather Service ( NWS ) says rain chances will increase Thursday through Saturday morning across the Imperial and Yuma Valleys. Rainfall totals up to .25 of an inch are possible. Temperatures will gradually cool throughout the week , with the biggest cooldown coming Friday and Saturday when highs in the 60's are expected and low temperatures in the 30's to low 40's are forecast for Saturday morning. Breezy to locally windy conditions are also expected. The NWS says a strong storm system and accompanying cold front will be moving through the southwest bringing about the change in weather.
