A pedestrian was hit by a car early Sunday morning in El Centro.

The accident was reported at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday on Dogwood Road near the Imperial Valley Mall. Few details are available as the incident remains under investigation. According to El Centro Police the pedestrian was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs by REACH Air Ambulance. The driver of the car involved was not injured.
