(New COVID numbers)....They were released by the County Public Health Department.

The updated numbers were released Tuesday morning. Active cases of the virus have decreased slightly from the previous report before the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Active Cases are at 524 as compared to 536 previously reported. Delta Variant cases are now at 822 since December 2020. Deaths attributed to the virus are now at 769. There are currently 59 COVID positive patients hospitalized in the County. 14 of them are in Intensive Care. There is one ICU bed available in the County right now. Public Health says there are 43 ventilators available in the county. 33 of them are in use. COVID 19 state metrics for Imperial County indicate a positivity rate, 7- day average is at 13.1%. The new cases per day per 100,000 population is at 29.60. Total Vaccine doses administered in Imperial County are now over 303,000.
