The California Highway Patrol went into their Maximum Enforcement Period at 6:00 Wednesday evening and continued until 11:59 Sunday night. The MEP is the Highway Patrol's Holiday enforcement period, in which as many officers as possible are on patrol. This year's Maximum Enforcement resulted in 8 property damage collisions, 2 minor injury collisions, 2 major injury collisions, 1 fatal injury collision and 4 DUI arrests.
