A man was arrested following a hit and run accident Saturday morning.

El Centro Police received a report of a hit and run accident in the 800 block of south 8th Street at 6:40 a.m. Saturday. The driver of a black Dodge Charger fled the scene going northbound on 8th Street but was stopped at 8th and Stacy by ECPD. The driver was charged with driving under the influence.
