(Changes for Border crossers)...They start this weekend.

On Sunday The hours of operation change at the ports in Andrade and Tecate. The new hours of operation will be from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Department of Homeland Security says the Calexico East Port will change its hours of operation from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on Monday November 8th. Also on Monday the traveler exemptions that were implemented due to the pandemic will be lifted, with a caveat. Beginning Monday non-essential t5ravelers will be allowed to cross the border, but they will be required to show proof of COVID vaccinations or a very recent negative COVID test, in addition to the normal crossing documents. The non-citizen travelers will also be required to verbally attest to their reason for traveling into the United States.
