That is up slightly from the 508 reported previously. Hospitalizations as a result of the virus remain at 31, with 7 in Intensive Care. The total number of Delta Variant cases reported in Imperial County are at 530, since the variant was first encountered in the county. The State Tier Metrics for Imnperial County indicate a positivity rate of 10.9%. The new cases per day per 100,000 population is at 29.90. Total Vaccine doses administered in Imperial County are at over 275,000, an increase of about 2,000 as compared to the previous report. Sources say the vaccination rate for Imperial County is over 87%.
