(A bit of a surge in active cases)...Updated COVID 19 numbers issued Tuesday morning.

The numbers are released by the County Public Health Department. The latest numbers indicate there are 452 active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County. That is up from the 414 reported last Thursday. Deaths attributed to the virus are also up slightly, at 764. There are at 16 COVID positive patients hospitalized in Imperial County. Four of those are in Intensive Care. The total number of COVID vaccine doses administered in Imperial County are now just over 268,000. State Metrics for Imperial County, Positivity rate, 7 day average is at 8.8%. The new cases per day per 100,000 population is at 23.30.
