A Wednesday evening collision claimed a life.
Yuma County Sheriff's Office says that at about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday a late model sedan was westbound on County 19th Street when it went out of control , crossed the centerline and ended up in an empty irrigation ditch. The car then caught fire with the driver inside the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and identification remains unknown due to the fire. YCSO says that speed appears to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
